When Someone Tells You That They Want To Be Alone, Honor This

“When someone tells you that they want to be alone, honor this.

Don’t take it as an affront on you.

They need space to reconcile, to grieve, to unfold some personal pain.

Our only job is to support and respect that space.

Forcing the situation is dangerous.

They will come when and if they are ready.

If not, loving them from an arms distance is all we can do.”
