When I Die šŸ’•

āļø When I Die 🌟

When I die, please don’t put me in a box and bury me in the dark.

I want to be in the light and see the changing seasons.

Mix my ashes with petals and glitter, and let me soar across the land.

Let me shimmer on the landscape and drift upon the wind. Let me float on the sparkling river under soft clouds.

Let me be free,

Let me be ubiquitous,

Let snow bury me,

rain drench me,

let me shine in the sun and be among nature, morphed with the earth.

Let me remain in the lingering summer and watch the wildflowers dance in the breeze.

I want an eternity of full moons,

stormy days,

cloudy nights and

misty mornings.

To watch life grow, die, and resurrect in the springtime.

Let me forever hear the birdsong and see the dazzling October sunrises.

I want the sound of children’s laughter to echo around me. I want to see Christmas lights twinkle like stars and hear the wind whistle through the trees.

Let me return to nature,

return to the earth.

Let me be immortal on this abundant, bestowing earth and be eternally part of the land I love.
