Right now, you're living in survival mode,
You’re numb, lifeless, exhausted.
Now and again you feel that panic,
when you realise how far you’ve sailed from your old self.
But this is temporary.
You’re doing what your human instinct told you to do.
You’re hunkered down, getting through, enduring.
It’s not permanent.
When your world feels safe again,
when you take the first tentative steps back out there,
you’ll resurface.
Your spark will reignite.
Lightly at first but then brighter than ever before.
Right now, you’re living in survival mode
and that’s ok my friend.
You’ll be back.
You never really left.
