Remember, being a good neighbor means BELIEVING and LISTENING to survivors of abuse - no matter who they are or who their abuser is.

When it comes to helping survivors of abuse:

💜 DO offer a listening ear and have compassion.

💜 DO share your local domestic violence hotline and offer to call with them.

❌ NEVER tell a survivor to “just leave” an abusive partner or tell them what they should do. Leaving can be dangerous, so it’s important to have a safety plan.
