Darling, What If You Fly?

As the night settles in, many of us stand at the edge of uncertainty, feeling trapped, afraid to take the next step. Like the bird tied to the post, we ask ourselves, “What if I fall?” What if everything unravels, and the pain becomes too much to bear?

For those who are fighting battles—especially those trying to break free from the chains of domestic violence—this fear can feel paralyzing. The fear of the unknown, the fear of what’s to come, and the fear that there might not be any safety waiting on the other side.

But here's the truth that no one may have told you: freedom is waiting. Even in the darkest nights, there is a breeze—soft, unseen—that carries the promise of new beginnings. It might feel impossible now, but what if that leap into the unknown is the one that sets you free? What if you find your wings in the process?

You may feel bound by circumstances, but your spirit was never meant to be caged. And even though it feels overwhelming tonight, remember that you don’t have to do it alone. There is a whole community here, holding space for you, ready to lift you up when you feel like you can’t move forward.

If you are struggling tonight, please know that you are not alone here. We see you, we hear you, and we stand with you, always.

Darling, what if you fly? 🕊️
