Boundaries Protect Your Heart, Energy and Time

For a long time, you probably believed that saying yes all the time was the kind thing to do. You didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings or make them upset. You thought being “nice” meant always being available, always helping, always understanding even when it cost you your own peace.

But the truth is, saying no doesn’t mean you’re selfish or rude. It just means you’re taking care of yourself, too. Boundaries are not walls to push people away .. they’re lines that protect your energy, your time, and your heart.

You feel guilty because part of you still fears that if you stop giving too much, people might stop loving you. But real love doesn’t disappear when you start respecting yourself. The right people will understand your “no” and still stay.
