The goal of Trauma-Informed Yoga is to help people feel more comfortable in their bodies and to reduce the symptoms of trauma. 

 

How It  Works

 

 Trauma-Informed Yoga class begins with a check-in, where each person is given the opportunity to share how they are feeling that day. The teacher then leads the class through a series of gentle yoga poses and breathing exercises. The focus is on relaxation and mindfulness, rather than on fitness or flexibility.
