Reiki

What Is Reiki?

Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan. It is based on the belief that our bodies have natural healing energies, and that these energies can be harnessed to help us heal both physically and emotionally. Reiki practitioners use their hands to channel these energies into the person receiving treatment, promoting relaxation, reduced stress, and improved overall health.

 

How Reiki Therapy Works

 

During a Reiki session, the practitioner will place their hands on or near the recipient's body in a series of specific hand positions. The recipient remains fully clothed during the treatment.

 

The practitioner will typically work on each position for 3-5 minutes before moving to the next. Some people report feeling heat or tingling from the practitioner's hands, while others simply feel relaxed.

 

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to Reiki therapy, and the number of sessions required will vary from person to person. Some people report feeling benefits after just one session, while others may require multiple sessions to see results.
